WARRANTY DEED
Filed for record July 13th A. D. 1889 at 11:45 o'clock A. M.

Recorder Van Buren County, Iowa.

Know all Men by these Presents, That We Samuel Chapman and Sarah S. Chapman of Van Buren County, and State of Iowa in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) DOLLARS, in hand paid by Mary A. Hillman of Mitchel County, and State of Kansas do hereby SELL AND CONVEY unto the said Mary A. Hillman the following described premises, situated in the County of Van Buren, and State of Iowa, to-wit:

The South (1/2) half of the North West (1/4) quarter of the South West (1/4) quarter Containing (20) Twenty Acres more or less with all the Appurtenances thereto belonging. all in Section Number (3) three Township Sixty Eight Range (8) eight West.

And We hereby covenant with the said Mary A. Hillman that We hold said premises by title in fee simple; that We have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same; that they are free and clear of all liens and incumbrances whatsoever; and We covenant to WARRANT AND DEFEND the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.

And the said Sarah S. Chapman hereby relinquishes all right of dower in and to the above described premises.

On this 26th day of October A.
