WARRANTY DEED.

Know all Men by these Presents, That We Samuel Chapman and Sarah S. Chapman of Van Buren County, and State of Iowa in consideration of the sum of Five hundred ($500.00) DOLLARS, in hand paid by Margarett B. A. Crawford of Des Moines county, and State of Iowa do hereby SELL AND CONVEY unto the said Margarett B. A. Crawford the following described premises, situated in the County of Van Buren, and State of Iowa, to-wit:

The North half (1/2) of the North West (1/4) quarter of the South West (1/4) quarter Containing (20) Acres more or less. With all the appurtenances thereto - belonging All in Section Number (3) three in - Township (68) Sixty Eight - Range (8) Eight - West.

And We hereby covenant with the said Margarett B. A. Crawford that We hold said premises by title in fee simple; that We have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same; that they are free and clear of all liens and incumbrances whatsoever; and We covenant to WARRANT AND DEFEND the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.

And the said Sarah S. Chapman hereby relinquishes all right of dower in and to the above described premises.

On this 26th day of October A. D. 1888, before me, James Wm Rice a Notary Public within and for said County, personally came Samuel Chapman and Sarah S. Chapman personally to me known to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above instrument as grantors, and have acknowledged the execution of the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein expressed.
