Warranty Deed
Filed for Record April 12th A. D. 1880 at 2 o'clock P. M.
Daniel K. Kittle, Recorder, Van Buren Co., Iowa.

Know all Men by these Presents:
That we Ben Scott + Fannie D. W. Scott his wife + James J. Scott of Clark County, and State of Missouri in consideration of the sum of Two hundred sixty five dollars, in hand paid by D. W. Crawfor [sic] of Lee County, and State of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said D. W. Crawford the individual one half (1/2) of the following described premises, situated in the County of Van Buren, and State of Iowa, to-wit:
The South West quarter (1/4) of the South East quarter (1/4) of Section 11 (11) Township Sixty eight (68) North Range Eight (8) west.

And we hereby covenant with the said D. W. Crawford that we hold said premises by title in fee simple; that we have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same; that they are free and clear of all liens and incumbrances whatsoever; and we covenant to WARRANT AND DEFEND the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. And the said Fannie DeW. Scott does hereby relinquish her right of dower in and to the above described premises.

STATE OF IOWA, Van Buren County, 88.

On this 6th day of March A. D. 1880, before me M. W. Cooley a Notary Public within and for said County, personally came Ben Scott and Fannie DeW. Scott his wife + James J. Scott personally to me known to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above instrument as grantors and they acknowledged the execution of the same to be their voluntary act and deed, for the purposes therein expressed.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my official Seal at Farmington on the date last above written.
