Newlyweds Take Home in Azusa
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boardman Forbes, whose wedding was solemnized at Santa Ana wedding chapel February 21, are now at home to friends on Angelina street in Azusa.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Sele of Azusa, and the groom the youngest son of Mrs. Ella Bales of Covina.
Rev. W. S. McDougall of the chapel read the service before a small group of relatives and intimate friends. Miss Bonnie Sele, a sister was the bride’s only attendant, and Arvil Larrick of Pomona was best man.
Mr. Sele gave his daughter in marriage. She was dressed in a light-weight beize woolen frock with blue accessories and wore flowers in pastel shades.
Following the wedding a reception was held at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Bolt, sister of the groom, who makes her home on West Center street. Spring flowers decorated the livingrooms and the bridal party, assisted by parents of the bride and groom, received the guests, among whom was Miss Bernardine Forbes of Los Angeles, another sister of the groom, who made her home for several years in Covina and attended the local high school.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of Citrus high school. Mr. Forbes is employed by Edwards Theaters corporation and is assistant manager of the State theater in Azusa. Mrs. Forbes was also an employee at the same theater.
