According to recent word received by his mother, Mrs. Ella Bales, C. Boardman Forbes arrived in Iraq on the 15th of August after having spent many months en route.
Young Forbes left New York in March to do construction work abroad. Due to unexplained reasons he was held over in his voyage for long periods in the Virgin Isles, Freetown, Capetown, and Bombay and only recently reached his destination.
His letters state that he is well and glad of a chance to get to work at last. Of interest to Covina friends is the fact that he expects to be placed on the same job with Kenneth Fuquay, also of Covina.
