Catharine & Henry Detwiler to N. B. Harlan

For the consideration of one thousand dollars, I Catharine Detwiler hereby sell and convey to Nathan B. Harlan , the following tract of land, to wit:

The east half of the east half of the south east quarter of the south east quarter of section twenty-two, township sixty-nine north of range eight west. Also one half acre off of the east side of the west half of the east half of the south east quarter of the south east quarter of section twenty-two, township sixty-nine north of range eight west. Also the north west quarter of the north east quarter of the north west quarter of section twenty six, township sixty-nine north of range eight west in the County of Van Buren and State of Iowa. And I the said Catharine Detwiler warrant the title against all persons whomsoever.

In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name this 12th day of October one thousand eight hundred and seventy four.

Be it remembered that on this 15th day of Oct. 1874 before the undersigned personally appeared Catharine Detwiler to me personally known to be the identical person whose name is signed to the foregoing instrument of writing as grantor, and acknowledged the same to be her voluntary act and deed.
