Joseph Dalwig & wife To Catharine Detwiler

For the consideration of two hundred dollars, we Joseph Dalwig and Barbary, his wife, do hereby sell and convey to Catharine Detwiler the following tract of land to wit:

The north west quarter of the north east of north west quarter of section twenty six township sixty nine north of range eight west in Van Buren County,Iowa, and we covenant that we are lawfully seized in fee simple of the aforegranted premises, that they are free from all incumbrances, and that we will warrant the title again the lawful claim of all persons whomsoever dated this the 11th day of April A.D. 1870.

On this the 11th day of April A.D. 1870 before me the undersigned, a justice of the peace, came Joseph Dalwig and Barbary, his wife, to me personally known to be the identical persons who signed the above deed as grantors and acknowledged the execution of the same to be their voluntary act and deed.
