State of Iowa, County of Van Buren. For the consideration of seventy five dollars, we John H. Detwiler and Cordelia Detwiler, his wife, do hereby convey to James M. Coolidge the following described tract of land to wit:

Part of the south half of the NE ¼ of section four in township sixty eight N of range eight west commending at a stone in the centre of road running to Bonaparte in said county (through said NW ¼) thence west (on the centre line between the N & S half of said qtr. section) five chains fourteen links to a stone thence south nine chains thirty two links to a stone thence east to the centre of said Bonaparte Road thence north along centre of said road to beginning containing two and one half acres more or less. And we do hereby warrant the title against all persons whomsoever. And I the said Cordelia Detwiler, wife of the said John H. Detwiler, in consideration of the promises expressed in the foregoing deed of conveyance to hereby relinquish my Right of Dower in the said mentioned real estate.

In witness whereof we do hereby sign our hands this 22nd day of July 1868.

Before me the undersigned, a justice of the peace for the county aforesaid personally appeared John H. Detwiler and Cordelia, his wife, who are personally known to me to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the foregoing deed and acknowledged the instrument to be their act and deed.

Witness my hand this 22nd day of July 1868.
