John H. Detwiler To Geo. W. Miller

For the consideration of four hundred and fifty dollars, we John H. Detwiler and Cordelia Detwiler hereby sell and convey to George W. Miller the following tract of land to wit:

Ten acres in south half of south east quarter of north west quarter section four (4) township sixty eight (68) range eight (8) west in the County of Van Buren State of Iowa and we warrant the title against all persons whomsoever.

In witness whereof we have hereunto signed our names this 19th day of August one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven (1867).

Be it remembered that on this 19th day of August A.D. 1867 before me Jonathan Oliver, a Justice of the Peace in and for said county, personally appeared John H. Detwiler and Cordelia Detwiler, his wife, who are personally known to me to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above deed as grantors and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein expressed.
