John H. Detwiler to Isaih Mak

For the consideration of six hundred dollars, I John H. Detwiler and Cordelia Detwiler hereby sell and convey to Isaih Mak the following tract of land to wit:

In the north east corner of the south half of the north west quarter of section no. four (4) township no. sixty eight (68) range eight (8) west the middle of the main road on the west side being the line and extending far enough south to contain twenty (20) acres.

In the County of Van Buren and State of Iowa and the said John H. Detwiler and Cordelia Detwiler warrant the title against all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof we have hereunto signed our names this 17th day of January eighteen hundred and sixty six.

Be it remembered that on this seventeenth day of January A.D. 1866 before me, R. N. Cresap, Notary Public in and for said county, personally appeared John H. Detwiler and Cordelia Detwiler, his wife, who are personally known to me to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above deed as grantors and acknowledge the same to be their voluntary acd and deed.
