Henry Detwiler & wife To J. H. Detwiler

For the consideration of forty dollars, we, Henry Detwiler and Catherine Detwiler, his wife, hereby sell and convey to John Henry Detwiler the following tract of land to wit:

The undivided half of eleven acres off the north end of the east half (1/2) of the north west quarter of the south east quarter of section nine (9) township sixty eight (68) north of range No. (9) eight west in the County of Van Buren and State of Iowa and warrant the title against all persons whosoever.

In witness thereof we have hereunto signed our names this 22nd day of October A.D. eighteen hundred and sixty four.

Before the subscriber A. H. Leach, a Justice of the Peace in and for the county aforesaid, personally appeared Henry Detwiler and Catherine, his wife, personally known to me to be the identical persons whose names appear to the forgoing deed as grantors thereunto and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and deed.

In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand this the 22nd day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.
