Jonathan Coffindaffer & wife to H. and J. H. Detwiler

For the consideration of eighty dollars, we Johathan Coffindaffer and Louisa Coffindaffer, his wife, hereby sell and convey to Henry Detwiler and John Henry Detwiler the following tract of land to wit: Eleven acres of the south east quarter of section (9) nine township sixty eight (68) north of range No. (8) eight west—in the County of Van Buren and State of Iowa and warrant the title against all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof we have hereunto signed our names this 15th day of Feb A. D. eighteen hundred and sixty four.

Be it remembered that on this 15th day of Feb. A.D. 1864 before me George E. Kennedy, Justice of the Peace in and for said county, personally appeared Jonathan Coffindaffer and Louisa Coffindaffer, his wife, who are personally known to me to be the identical person whose names are affixed to the above deed as grantor and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the use and purpose therein written..
