Honor Dinner

Mrs. Sam Topping entertained at her home in honor of her sister, Mrs. Ella Bales, of Covina, Calif.

Those present were: Mrs. Ida Saunderson, Elizabeth Winslow and Elsie Campbell of Keosauqua; Mrs. Jim Gilchrist and Mrs. Kate Cupp of Fairfield, Mrs. Joe Sherod of Washburn, Wisc., Mrs. Clayton Sherod of Kilbourne; Maggie Sherod, Mary June Miller, Blanche Murphy, Maude McIntosh, Jose Barker, Worthy Arnold and Theresa Sherod of Mt. Zion; Bertha Syfert, Orpha Ogden, Etha Meek, Edith Reneker and two children, Danny and Mary Lee, Louie Topping, Mrs. Frank Small, Gertrude Dille and son, Kenneth, Ava Topping and two children, Billy and Janet Jo of Birmingham.

A lovely cooperative dinner was served and the afternoon was spent with music and reminiscence of old times – a day long to be remembered by all.
