Married – At the home of the bride’s parents between [Mt. Zion and] Keosauqua. Thursday evening ________2d, Rev. Gilbert officiating, Samuel F. Topping and Miss Sena Sherod, daughter of Wm. Sherod.

The ceremony that united the lives of these young people was witnessed by a large company of the relatives and most intimate friends. Many tokens of esteem were presented, all of them being useful and beautiful. Friday a reception was tendered the young couple at the home of the groom’s father, John Topping of Birmingham, at which the same company was present that witnessed the ceremony. It is needless to say a very enjoyable time was had here. The young people will begin housekeeping in a few weeks in a new house erected on the Topping farm, southeast of town. The ENTERPRISE extends its congratulations and wishes them long life and prosperity.
