My Aunt Kitty McCalmant (Kittie Ruth McCalmant), born January 15, 1893 in Jones County Iowa. In February 1900 Sheriff Arnold and Mrs. Carhart, matron of children home in Des Moines, took Kitty away from her Mother Mrs. Catherine Louisa or (Louisa C Parks), McCalmant to be placed in the home in Des Moines.
