Need help locating a birthdate and location of Lawalta

Mary Lawalta Knowles or Lawalta Mary Knowles
after 1917 went by her middle name of Lawalta

My Great Grandmother was born in 1903 in Iowa. The county is uknown. I believe her birth mothers name was Mary I Jones. I do not know of the birth father. In the 1910 Washington Census Lawalta was listed as a Step-Daughter to Harry Alonzo Whaite. Mary I Jones was also listed as being born in Iowa.

Any information would be helpful, I've come to a dead end. I have no idea when or where Lawalta died, so I have no death date for the possibility of getting a birth record.
