Henry Hermanson birth

I am looking for the place of birth of my grandfather Henry Hermanson who was born in December of 1874 or 1875. He eventually settled with his parents Christian Hermanson and Ellen Christine Peterson Hermanson in South Dakota where he homesteaded. However, Henry always lists Iowa as his birthplace. They may have had family there. I also would like to find marriage records of Christian and Ellen. They immigrated from Denmark in about 1873 and I do not know if they were married when they came over. If anyone knows of any Danish information about this period I would be interested. Thank you.
