Henry Ketelsen and Anna Laing (sp?) immigrated to Clinton Co. IA in 1881 from Germany, probably Schleswig-Holstein. Henry's brother Peter resided in Charter Oak, IA, and brother Hans in Royal, IA. Sister D. Mason resided in Ogden, IA and sister Mary Hendricksen in Teeds Grove, IA. Henry and Anna had many children: Anna, John, Mary, Dora, Willie, August, Elsie, Rosie, Andrew, Julius, Fred. The last name was sometimes spelled Kettelsen or Kettleson, even Kittleson.
