Have you looked for a death notice in the Ogle co. newspapers Jan? Since he appears to have been a long time resident of Ogle co. a mention of the event should have been published there. Obits as we know them today did not exist back then except for more prominent members of the community. Could be a one or two line article anywhere in the paper. Also, if the event occurred elswhere a transportation permit would have to have been issued to carry the remains back to Ogle co., and a burial permit would have to have been requested by the funeral director. Might check with Ogle county to see if any of these records have been archived. Dick
