Creston, Ia., July 16 - Dr. J. W. Coskley, for the past twenty years a prominent physician and surgeon in Creston, died this morning at the
Greater Community hospital. Dr. Coskley achieved during his lifetime an international as well as national reputation as a surgeon through his
success in performing the Caesarean operation.
It was through his success in these surgical operations that their practice was revived in the United States.
Dr. Coskley was a member of the thirty-fifth, thirty-seventh and thirty-ninth general assemblies of Iowa, being elected as representative on the democratic ticket from Union county. He was 71 years old at the
time of his death.
