O'Riley, Roberta J. Kepner -
Funeral services for former Lenox resident Roberta J. O'Riley were held April 15 at the United Methodist Church in Creston with
Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.
Roberta passed away April 11 at Greater Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Creston to Percy and Alma Hogenkamp Kepner. She graduated in 1942 from Creston High School.
On Feb. 16, 1947, she was married to Harvey O'Riley in Creston. Prior to her marriage she worked at the GCII, Creston News Advertiser and in Washington D.C. She then farmed with her husband in Spaulding Township.
She also lived in Cozad, Neb., Corning and Lenox, then returned to Creston in 1954. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Williamson American Legion Auxiliary. She was also on the advisory council of Southern Iowa Trolley.
Survivors include her husband Harvey of Creston; children Mark (wife Mary) O'Riley of Creston, Mike (wife Chris) O'Riley of Ankeny, Marsha (husband Roy) Parsons of Creston, and Mary (husband Guy) Lowrey of Anita.
Preceding her in death were her parents; father-in-law Harry T. O'Riley; sister Maxine Montgomery; a brother, Max Kepner; and a granddaughter, Misty West.
