Waunita L. Hayner

Omaha, Neb. – Waunita L. Hayner, 84, Omaha died of a heart ailment Thursday at Maple Crest Care Center, where she was a resident. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Southtown Funeral Home, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, both in Des Moines.

Mrs. Hayner was born in Creston and lived in Des Moines for 59 years until moving here in 1986. Before retiring, she had owned the Green Lantern Restaurant in Des Moines.

Surviving are a son, Ralph, and two daughters, Ruth Stearns and Floidine Stearns, all of Omaha; a brother; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
