Funeral services for Pauline L. McAuley, age 79, of Afton were held June 28 at Morgan Cemetery in Kent with Rev. Lucretia Parks officiating. Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Pauline was born Oct. 9, 1921, in Taylor County to John Edgar Gardner and Nina Belle Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Leavitt Beckett, Clifford Barnhart Sr., and Ray F. McAuley; infant son Ronald; and brother Lloyd Gardner.

She is survived by sons Cliff "Bud" (wife Patty) Barnhart of Essex; Ron Barnhart of Clarinda; and Neil Barnhart of Clarinda; daughters Alice (husband Gary) Beebe of Kent, Kay (husband Robert) Winter of Knob Noster, Mo., Evelyn
McAuley of Dearborn, Mo., Susie (husband Lenny) Mysiewiez of Knob Noster, and Elaine (husband Clark) Bolinger of Sharpsburg; brothers Eldon "Boots" Gardner of Creston; brother-in-law Leo McCauley; sisters Darlene Porter of Anaheim, Cal., Betty Cooper of Council Bluffs, Doris Williamson of Creston, Gladys (husband Robert) Strange of
Diagonal, and Klina (husband Jack) Thompson of Creston; sister-in-law Agnes Summerfield of Chuluta, Fla.; 31 grandchildren 39 great-grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.
