Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston for Judith (Judy) Bierkamp, age 67, who died Nov. 16, 2001. Interment was in the Morgan Cemetery at Kent. Father Leonard Kenkel officiated at the services conducted by Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service.

Judith was born September 18, 1934 to Donald Bearbower and Vivian Phillips Bearbower at Davenport, IA. She graduated from high school in Davenport and Southwestern Community College. June 12, 1971 she was united in marriage to Robert
Bierkamp at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Davenport, IA.

She worked at Crossroads Mental Health and Hy-Vee in customer services. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church; Ladies Literacy; Chairman of Union County Democrats, Creston Community Theater, Crest Area Arts Council; Planned Parenthood board member and Democratic State Central Committee.

She is survived by her husband Robert Bierkamp; mother Vivian Stephens; children Ruth (husband Craig) Bolinger of Creston; Donald (wife Becky) Durand of Cedar Rapids; Susan (husband Steve) Easier of Sharpsburg; Ann (husband Kevin) Lisk
of Creston; Nancy (husband Tim) Loudon of Creston; Mary Holbrook of Lenox; and Kristina (husband Eric) Numberg of Tiffin; brother Phillip (Bonnie) Bearbower of Davenport; 9 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her father Donald Bearbower, first husband Francis Durand, daughter Julia Durand; granddaughter Ressie Holbrook.
