Donald Arthur Webb, 78 of Clearfield, formerly of Creston, died May 1, 2001, at Greater Community Hospital.

Graveside services were held Saturday, May 5, at Graceland Cemetery. The Rev. Merlin Wilkins officiated. A memorial has been established in his name.

Mr. Webb was born July 11, 1922, in Creston to Gerald and Laura (Bickford) Webb. He graduated from Creston High School in 1940. On December 27, 1942, he married Betty May Manroe in Maryville, Missouri.

He worked for the Burlington-Northern Railroad for 35 years as a section hand. He retired in March 1976. He was a lifelong resident of Creston until moving to the Clearview Home in Clearfield. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy in 1945.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Webb of Clearfield; two daughters, Diana Greenwalt of Creston and Debbie (husband Steve) Hansen of Valentine, Nebraska; two sons, Don (wife Beverly) Webb Jr. and Ronnie (wife Sandra) Webb, both of
Creston; a sister, Doris Blair of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
