Services for Don Starlin were held Nov. 15, 1999 at the Plane Center Church, with Peter Brantner officiating. Music was provided by organist Lynn Baker.

Casket bearers were Gentry Foster, Rob Brammer, Cody Starlin, Cory French, Wesley Starlin, Quincy Main, Heith Kitzman, Nikki Hightshoe. Honorary
bearers were Andy Brammer, Wade Starlin, Eric Starlin, Jeff Starlin, Chad Starlin, Eddie Austin, Wiley Main, Landon Jobe, Lauren Jobe, Lincoln Calvin, Grant Calvin, Brian Cook, Wayne Hartsock, Keith Bullock and Bob Hoffman.

Don Starlin died at his home Nov. 12, 1999. He was born August 2, 1926 in Grant, Iowa to Lester LeRoy Starlin and Myrtle Eblem. He attended county schools at Cass County, Iowa. He served in the U.S. army during World War II and was stationed in the Philippine Islands.

He married Viola Darlene Dukes on Feb. 6, 1947 in Troy, Kansas, He worked as a farmer, in a welding ship and was a construction worker.

Preceding Don in death were his parents, three infant siblings, a brother Glen, a sister Martha and two brothers-in-law.

Surviving are his wife Viola Starlin; daughters Dona Tillman, Karen Zabel, Deborah Foltz, Sherri Calvin, and Michelle Jobe; sons Donald, Kevin and
Monty Starlin; a sister Bernadine Combs; 16 grandchildren, 2 stepgrandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren.

Interment was in the Grove Chapel Cemetery with military rites by the Theodore Martens Post #1797.
Coen-Beaty Funeral Home of Creston was in charge of the arrangements.
