Shirley Vyrlee Britt

Shirley Britt, 57, of Thayer died of lung and liver cancer Monday January 23rd, at home. Mrs. Britt was born in Newton and formerly lived in Newton, West Chicago, Ill., and Colfax before moving to Thayer in 1971. She formerly worked for Hardees in Osceola.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas; three daughters, Mary Mongar and Tammy Britt, both of Osceola, and Ronda Britt of Thayer; a son, Michael of Afton; her mother, Mary Sutton of Creston; three sisters, Beverly Dodd of New Port Richey, Fla., Marilyn Rivers of Thayer and Lila White of Creston; and five grandchildren.
