Funeral services for George "Oscar" Ahnen were held Saturday, Oct. 15, 1988 at Keating-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. George W. Campbell officiating. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery, Creston, Ia.
George "Oscar" Ahnen, Moreno Valley, Ca., formerly of Creston, was born December 4, 1948 at Creston, Ia. to Glen Ahnen and Alma Johnston Smith. He died at his home October 7, 1988 at the age of 39.
He was married February 2, 1983 to Debby Secor in Phoenix, Az.
He was a plumber. He was a resident of Creston until moving to Phoenix in 1979 and later to California.
He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Kristina Ahnen.
Those surviving are his wife; two sons, Joseph P. Ahnen, Creston, Dustin Ahnen, Centerville; three daughters, Brandi Ahnen, Centerville, Jessica and Renae Branch of the home; one brother Bill Stuart and wife Dorothy, Creston; one sister, Mrs. Janice
Shepherd, Creston; and mother, Alma Johnston Smith.
He was preceded in death by father, stepfather and one brother.
