Cashman, Ruth Pauline Kenworthy -
Mrs. Everette E. (Ruth Pauline) Cashman, 72, former Lenox resident, died at the Cochran nursing home in Creston Mar. 25th after a long illness.
Ruth Pauline Kenworthy was born in Creston Dec. 30, 1898, the daughter of Thomas M. and Nettie Holiday Kenworthy. She was graduated from Creston
high school in 1917. She married Everette E. Cashman at the home of her parents in Council Bluffs on Feb. 28, 1920.
Mrs. Cashman is survived by her husband, a son, Everette of Denver, Colo., three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister,
Mrs. Orin White of Fort Dodge and a brother, Maurice Kenworthy of Aurora, Ill.
The Cashmans, while residents of Lenox operated a cafe for 20 years. They were located in the Roy Bennett building on East Temple, where Rogers TV
is now located where the 4-U Trading Post is now located and also in the rooms housing the Bob Reynolds Agency. After giving up the restaurant business,
they purchased the bakery and opened a sweet shop in the rooms now used by Dr. Rowland. Mr Cashman later operated the service station where Lowell
Wilson is now located for a two year period.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Keating McKasson funeral home in Creston with burial in Graceland cemetery.
