Services for Elizabeth B. Vanderpluym, daughter of John and Mary Ann McManus, were held January 9, 1971, from the Immaculate Conception Church at
Maloy with burial in Calvary cemetery, Creston. Rev. Father M. J. Culhane, officiated.
She was born March 24, 1888 in Illinois and departed this life January 6, 1971 at the Ringgold County hospital, Mt. Ayr. As a small child she moved
with her family to a farm near Diagonal.
On April 16, 1917, she was united in marriage to Louis Vanderpluym living on the same farm until January of 1969, when they located in Mt. Ayr.
Left to mourn are her husband, one son, Paul, four daughters, Veldeva Morris, Martena Mobley, Lucille Johnson, Frances Ricker, a niece Catherine, Morley, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, other nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were an infant daughter, her parents, one sister and six brothers.
