Charles A. Veatch passed away at his home in Lenox, Tuesday, Mar. 17 at 2:30 a. m. He is survived by his wife, Florence and four sons, Olen of
Fontanelle, Howard of Creston, Walter of Prescott and Gene of Lenox; two daughters, Viola Sandstrom of Sharpsburg and Arda Brown of Tempe, Ariz.;
also 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Two sons, Estel and Marion preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Keating Funeral home in Creston at 2:00 Thursday. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery at Creston.
The body is at the Keating Funeral home at Creston. The family will meet their friends at the home this evening, Wednesday, from 7:30 to 8:30 p. m.

Veatch, Charles Arthur -
Charles Arthur Veatch, son of William McKinder and Sarah Ann Anderson Veatch, was born in Nodaway County, Mo., October 9, 1886 and died at his home
in Lenox, la., March 17, 1964, at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 8 days.
On August 21, 1907 he was married to Florence Dawes at Maryville, Mo. They were engaged in farming near Hopkins, Mo., until 1915 when they moved to Iowa.
They then farmed in the vicinities of Orient, Cromwell, Creston and Kent, until retiring in 1946 on an acreage in Lenox. He had been ill for several months, but
was very patient through all of it.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, four brothers, John, James and two in infancy, sisters, Ursula Comer, Anna Comer, Alice Violett, and Jane
Keith; two sons, Estle and Marion; one grandson, Rodney Brown; and one great granddaughter, Rosanne Sandstrom.
Surviving him is his wife Florence; four sons: Olen of Fontenelle, Howard of Creston, Gene of Lenox, Walter of Prescott; and two daughters: Viola
Sandstrom of Sharpsburg and Arda Brown, twin sister of Marion, of Tempe, Ariz. Also 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and
nephews, and his mother-in-law Mrs Arda Crawford, also a sister-in-law, Mrs Sarah Estes of Maryville.
Services were Mar. 19 at Creston with burial at Graceland Cemetery.
