Jessie Tripp, 75, of Kent died at the Greater Community hospital in Creston Saturday. Her death followed a long illness.
Miss Tripp was born and lived all her life on the same farm near Kent. She had taught school for 26 years and had been active in Kent community church affairs all her life.
Funeral services were Tuesday at the Prairie Star United Presbyterian Church. Rev James E Eddy of the Lenox church officiated. Burial was in the Morgan cemetery near Kent.
Jessie Tripp was born at Kent March 1, 1869, the daughter of William F and Mary Francis Tripp. She had never married.
She is survived by two brothers, Dalton and Ralph Tripp, both of Kent, two sisters, Grace Tripp of Kent and Mrs A B (Ruth) Rhoades of Lenox, three nephews and five nieces.
Miss Tripp was a member of the Prairie Star United Presbyterian Church.
