Mrs. Margaret E. Overholser, 77 died at 8:10 a.m. today March 16, 1948, At her home at 408 South Poplar street, Creston. She had been ill for six months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Baptists church here. Rev. H.E. Cole will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland cemetery. Her body will lie in state at McGregor Brothers and Coens’ Funeral Home until time of the services.
Margaret E. Severson was born in Henry County, Illinois, Feb. 1871. She was the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Jane Tremble Severson. She was married at Greenfield, IA, Feb. 15, 1891 to Calvin Overholster, who preceded her in death, May 18, 1912.
Mrs. Overholster has been a resident of Creston since 1905. She moved here from Greenfield.
She is survived by one daughter and several other children (unreadable). A daughter, preceded her in death.
