Ed Kenney, 86

Dies Today

Edward Kenney, 86, retired plastering contractor and resident of Creston since 1883, died at his home, 203 North Oak street after a brief illness of pneumonia.

Mr. Kenney was born in Quincy, Ill., Sept. 4, 1852, the son of Joseph and Jerusha Kenney. He was married in Quincy on Feb. 5, 1880 to Elizabeth Baird and three years later moved to Creston. Mrs. Kenney died in 1890 and he was married Oct. 26, 1892 to Fannie Cormack who died in 1907.

Surviving are a daughter and a son, Mrs. Loretta Brooks and Lloyd Kenney, both of Creston. Two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Green and Mrs. Grace Kiddoo preceded him in death. funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. L. E. Watson. Pallbearers will be Delmar Kiddoo, Harry Vetterick, sr., Don Emerson, Earl Kunath, Phil DeVoe and Will Tramp.

Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. The body will lie in state at the home until time for the services.
