Mrs. Rex. W. Johnston, 29, of Creston died Thursday evening at 8:45 in the Greater community hospital following a short illness. Lois Johnston was born in Pilot Mound, Iowa, on Oct. 7, 1909, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi F. Carlson, who live in Creston.

Surviving are her parents, her husband, a daughter, Lois LaVonne, 11, a brother Lester Carlson of Creston, two sisters Loreen Carlson of Creston and Mrs. Loretta Jackson of Afton.

funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in charge of the Rev. L. E. Watson. Pallbearers will be Wilbur Walker, Earl Graves, Dave Johnston, Leon Cartwright, Frank Hood and Lawrence Baker. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery
