Jane Peery Dies
Last Member of
Pioneer Family

Miss Jane Peery, 84, last surviving member of a pioneer Grant township family, died at her home, 411 New York avenue, here at 11:15 a. m. today. She had been ill for a year.

Funeral services will be held at the Detrick and Keating chapel at 3 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Myron E. Hayes, pastor of the Methodist church will officiate. burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Her body will remain at the Deitrick and Keating funeral home until time for the services.

Jane Peery was born in Black Hawk county, Iowa, January 26, 1863. She was the daughter of Joseph and Adeline Peery. She moved with her parents to Union county when she was a small girl and living on the same farm in Grant township until three years ago when she came to Creston.

She had several brothers and sisters, all of whom preceded her in death.
