Funeral services for Robert Dean McGinnis, 31, a former resident of Creston, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coen’s Home for Funerals. Rev. J. Heber Miller, pastor of the First United Methodist church, officiated. Music was by Mrs. Reed Kline, organist, who played “Ivory Palaces” and “Beyond a Sunset.” Casket bearers were Jim McCutchen, Robert Medici, Bill Gottschalk, Jack Kelley, Tom Hertz, and Eugene Bird. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. McGinnis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred McGinnis of Creston, was born and grew up here. He lived at Watertown, S.D., and was an area manager for the Mobil Oil Co. He was killed last Wednesday when his automobile struck a bridge in South Dakota.
