Frank LeRoy Arnold, son of Levi and Delia Arnold, was born in Tama county, Iowa on Sept 26, 1873. At the age of five he moved with his parents to Afton, Iowa. In the year 1898, he was united in marriage to Flora Donner also of Afton. To this union were born three children, a daughter Gladys Perkins of Creston; two sons, Daryl of Monroe and Frank Junior at home.

In the year of 1937 he moved with his wife and two sons to Milo later moving to a farm near Cummings where he departed this life January 21, 1941, at the age of 67 years three months, and twenty-six days. A clean, honest, upright man, a good neighbor, a kind father, and loving husband, his loss will be deeply felt He is survived by his wife, two sons, and one daughter and four grand-children. One brother Edward of Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Estella Eastman of Afton.

A large concourse that attended the last sad service attested the esteem in which he was held by those who knew him best. The funeral was held at the Evangelical Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. E.R. Walter in charge. Interment was at the Greenlawn Cemetery, at Afton.
