JESSE M. DAVIS, 51, LONG TIME RESIDNET OF CRESTON, DIES TODAY

Jesse M. Davis, 51, who has spent most of his life in Creston, died this morning at 11:30 o’clock following a heart attack at his home, 312 North Walnut street.

Mr. Davis was born in Ringgold county, March 27, 1887, the son of Will and Cora Davis. He was married in 1913 in Creston to Grace Baird, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Wayne Davis, of Algona; a daughter, Catherine Davis of Des Moines; a step-daughter, Bernice Kepner; seven sisters, Mrs. Earl Norris, Mrs. Helen Hodson, Mrs. Bernice Sowash and Mrs. Glen Roberts, all of Creston; Mrs. Vera Young of Chicago; Mrs. Cora Callanger of Hawthorne, Calif.; and Myrtle Hughes of Winslow, Ariz.; and a brother, Charles Davis of Creston.

Funeral arrangements are pending word from relatives.
