JEROME J. MILLER, 74 DIES TODAY

Jerome J. Miller, 74, died at 10:25 a.m. today at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He had been ill for a month and entered the hospital last Tuesday.

His body will be returned to Creston Tuesday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

Jerome J. Miller was born at Fredericktown, Mo., May 4, 1873, the son of John and Ruth Herald Miller, He was married here, August 27, 1902, to Martha Gow, who survives.

Before coming to Creston, he had lived in Chadron, Nebr., for a number of years. He had been a conductor for the Chicago and North Western railroad until his retirement in 1935.

Surviving in addition to his widow is a brother, Carl Miller, who lives in Oklahoma.

Mr. Miller was a member of Crest City lodge, A. F. and A. M., the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Brotherhood of Railway Conductors. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
