Alice Ruth Longshore, 90, longtime Goodwell, Oklahoma resident, passed away
Sunday morning, October 5, 2003 at the St. Ann's Nursing Home in Panhandle, Texas.

The daughter of Swan and Ruth Anna Otilia (Anderson) Johnson she was born on January 2, 1913 at Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Alice and William T. Longshore were united in marriage on February 28, 1935 in Bethany, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2002.

The Longshore family moved to Goodwell fro Canistota, South Dakota in 1960. Mrs. Longshore was a homemaker and helped with the Longshore custom harvesting business until retirement in 1981.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William T, Longshore, one son, Paul D. "Pete" Longshore, son-in-law, Jon A. Altom, one sister-in-law, Dora Stalcup and three brother-in-laws, Carl Ames, Eddie Thompson, and J.O. Gibbs.

Survivors include one son W.P. Longshore and his wife, Hilda of Balko, Oklahoma, two daughters Karen and her husband, Don Case of Groom, Texas and Carol Altom of Goodwell, ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one sister, Ruby (Ames) Thompson of Branson, Missouri, one sister-in-law, Susan Gibbs of Strawberry Point, Iowa and one brother-in-law, Bryan Stalcup of Afton, Iowa.

Memorial services were conducted Wednesday morning October 15, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bunch-Roberts Chapel with Rev. Greg Keith, pastor of the Panhandle Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. Interment of cremains followed in the Goodwell Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

The Longshore family suggest memorials be given to the St. Ann's Nursing Home or your charity of choice. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1119, Gutmon, Oklahoma 73942.
