Terrence Owens Rites at Afton

AFTON - Terrence (Ted) Owens, 80, a retired Afton farmer, died at St. Louis, Mo., at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. He had been making his home with a daughter at Florissant, Mo., for the past two years.

Funeral services will be held at St. Edward's Catholic church at Afton at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Fr. Sam Cordaro will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery at Afton. His body is at the Stroud funeral home at Afton.

Terrence Owens was born at Afton, July 4, 1890. He was the son of Charles and Launa Syp Owens. He was married, Dec. 21, 1910, to Mabel Beakler, who died Aug. 28, 1967.

Mr. Owens is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Margaret) Fish of Florissant, Mo., and Mrs. Richard (Elixabeth) Seastrum of Corpus Christi, Tex., five grandchildren; and a brother, Irv Owens of Deadwood, S.D. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Mr. Owens was a member of St. Edward's Catholic church at Afton.
