Mrs. Belle Hoover Dies at 81; Rites Wednesday Morning

Mrs. Belle Hoover, 81, of Creston died last night after an illness of 11 years.

She was born June 27, 1863, at Boston, Mass., daughter of Thomas and Margaret Owens. She taught school in the vicinity of Afton until her marriage Oct. 2, 1905 to Bourke Hoover at Afton. She moved to Creston about 25 years ago. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception church.

Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Edith Black, of Minnesota; four nephews; Irve, Ted, Tom and John Owens, all of Afton; two brothers-in-law; Harlan Hoover, Creston, and Robert Hoover, Afton; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Pat Owens, Creston.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception church, Msgr Vitus Stoll officiating. The body will remain at McGregor Bros. & Coen's until time for the services.
