Word of the death of Mrs. Laura Mounts was received here Saturday. Her death occurred in California. The funeral was held at the First Methodist Church here Tuesday afternoon with burial in the Shannon Cemetery. She was a life-long resident of near Shannon until she went to California to live after the death of her husband in 1963
