Adella M. Mason, 80, died Oct. 25th in Bethesda Nursing Home in North Platte, Nebraska. She was born Dec. 8, 1884 in Union County, going to North Platte in 1926. She had been a practical nurse in California, returning to North Platte in 1963.

Adella May Brown was born in Union County, December 8, 1884 and passed away October 25th, 1965 at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 17 days.

She was the third child of Obediah S. and Kate E. (Berry) Brown.

In October 1905 she was united in marriage to Albert M. Mason and to this union three children were born, on died in infancy.

Mrs. Mason came with her husband and family to North Platte, Nebr. in 1926, where she made her home until 1942. She moved to San Gabriel, California.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Earl (Lela) Purdy of North Platte, Nebr., one son, Leo J. Mason of Clear Lake Highlands, Calif., and five grandchildren: Ivan A. Purdy, Ruth Ann Purdy, Mrs. Melinda Moe, Marshall Mason and Mrs. Kathy Sue Christiansen; also four brothers: Orrin Brown of Long Beach, Calif.; E.E. or Lige Brown of Riverside, Calif.; Frank J. Brown of Redlands, Calif.; and Wm. H. Brown of Zearing, Iowa two sisters, Mrs. C.T. (Zelphia) Griep of Des Moines, Iowa and Mrs. Laura Mounts of Hayward, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in a North Platte Funeral Home October 29th and she was laid to rest beside her husband, who preceded her in death in 1947, in the Lamont Cemetery near Hershey, Nebraska.

Mrs. Howard Sanderson, Lexington, Mo., Mrs. Esther Eklund of Afton, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brown of Zearing and Mrs. Zelphia Griep of Des Moines were among those from this area who attended the services.
