Clarence A. Berry was born near Afton, Iowa, Feb. 26, 1897, and passed away Dec. 26, 1932, at his home, 111 Termino Ave., Long Beach, Calif.

Clarence grew to young manhood at the fsrm home near Afton and attended Afton high school.

He was married to Luella Whittlesey, of Arispe, Iowa, Dec. 23, 1914. Fourteen years ago they moved to Long Beach, Calif., and have since made that city their home.

Clarence numbered his friends by his acquaintances. Although he had been in ill health for the past two years, so well did he hide his suffering by a sunny disposition, that many of his friends little realized the end was so near.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Theora, a son Kenneth, his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Berry of Long Beach, and two brothers, Harry of 652 East D St., Ontario, Calif., and Walter of Creston, Iowa. Also other relatives in Union county.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 29, at 10 o'clock at the chapel of J.J. Mottell, Long Beach, and entombment in Anglus Abbey.
