JERRY DEAN AUSTIN

Jerry Dean Austin, son of Robert Austin and Martha Wilson Austin was born January 30, 1928 in Winterset,Iowa. He passed away from this life August 20, 2008 at his home in St. Charles, Iowa at 80 years of age.

Jerry worked as an electrician at Western Tool and then Des Moines Register from which he retired in 1988. He was a member of VFW in St. Charles before it disbanded and a member of the St. Charles Parish. He enjoyed going to farm sales, fishing, genealogy, enjoying grandchildren and doing crossword puzzles.

Those relatives who preceded Jerry in death were his parents; brothers, Robert, Leonard, Forrest, Ivan; and sisters, Betty Austin and Eunice Harper.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Carolyn; children, Bruce Austin of Prole, Sandra Lundberg [Dean] of Iowa City, Bill Austin [Robyn] of St. Charles, Debra Richards [Marty], Dana [Melinda] Austin, of St.Charles, Jeanne Brown [Wayne] of Greenfield; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Frieda Dodd [Joe] of State
Center; other relatives and many friends.
