MILDRED BOLTON

Mildred Bolton, 80, of Creston died June 20, 2008, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center,

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, at the First Baptist Church in Creston. The Rev. Robert Sauser will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, north of Creston. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Creston. Powers Funeral Home, Junction of Highways 34 and 25, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mildred M. Bolton, daughter of Mrytle Lena [Fils] and Earl Fred Gordon, was born Aug. 26, 1927 in Creston. She graduated from Cromwell High School in 1944.

On Aug. 27, 1946, she married John K. Bolton in Creston. They lived northwest of Creston and moved to Creston in 1950.

Mildred was a homemaker, did painting for a picture studio in Creston and was a member of First United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her son, Gordon [wife Shery] Bolton of Creston; grandchilden, Brian [wife Amy] Bolton, Rachel [husband Clint] Travis and Kevin [wife Stacie] Bolton, all of Creston; special friend Clell Looney of Creston and great-grandchildren, Kaden, Gavin, and Emma Bolton and Jacob, Gracie, Luke and Caleb Travis.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother Ralph Gordon and sister Darlene Beard.
