"Word has come of the passing of Mrs. Fannie Hitchcock Widger at the Creston hospital Monday morning [October 8]. She had been in a Creston nursing home until a week before when she was taken to the hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Henry of Iowa Falls, and Roy Widger of Fresno, Calif. Mr. [William Henry] Widger preceded her in death on June 6, 1939, at the farm home east of Cromwell. Services will be held Wdnesday afternoon [October 10] at the Congregational Church here and burial in Cromwell cemetery." END
