Lottie McCrackin dies here at 73

Mrs. Lottie Mae Thompson McCrackin, 73, died suddenly at her home at 806 north Cherry street Saturday. She had lived in the Creston community practically all of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Coens Home for Funerals, Rev. Ross O. Shim, pastor of the Plymouth United Church of Christ, at Orient, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery at Afton. Her family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight.

Lottie Mae Butterfield was born at Diagonal, Dec. 1, 1898. She was the daughter of Charles and Rebecca Bird Butterfield.

She was married, April 21, 1926, to Cloyd R. Thompson, who died on April 13, 1950. She was married on March 18, 1961, to Howard J. McCrackin, who died June 15, 1968.

Mrs. McCrackin had lived in Creston since 1951, and was a member of the First Christian church.

She is survived by three sons, Robert LeRoy Thompson of Garden City, Mo., Col. Calvin Wayne Thompson of Denver, Colo., and Richard Eugene Thompson, of Orient; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Breva Dawn) Bennett of Glendova, Calif., 12 grand children and two brothers, Bert Butterfield and Will Butterfield, both of Creston.

Mrs. McCrackin's family said a memorial fund is being established for the Plymouth United Church of Christ at Orient.
